More veterans eligible for compensation in Camp Lejeune class action lawsuit
The list of injuries continues to grow as more veterans and thier families are filing claims for exposure to toxic ground water...
READ MOREIf you or a loved one lived, worked or were stationed at Marines Corps Camp Lejeune from August 1953 to December 1987, you may have been exposed to contaminated ground water and may be eligible for compensation.
From at least 1957 through 1987, it is expected that over 500,000 U.S. Military Servicemembers and their families drank and bathed in water contaminated at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune with toxins at concentrations of 240 to 3,400 times permitted by safety standards.
On August 10, 2022, President Joe Biden signed the Pact Act of 2022 into law. Section 804 of the PACT Act contains a new federal law cause of action for those exposed to and injured by the toxins in the water at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. Those affected by the contaminated drinking waters are now eligible to file a claim and seek compensation for thier injuries.
